Efficient material handling is essential for stable and continuous operation in pulp, paper and MDF production. Screw conveying and feeding equipment plays a critical role in wood preparation, high-consistency refining and downstream processing.

HUATAO develops and manufactures a wide range of screw-based equipment for APMP and MDF production lines, including dewatering screws, modular screw Impressafiners, side plug feeders, ribbon feeders, plug feeders, discharge screws, chemical mixing conveyors and screw presses.

The dewatering screw removes water from wood chips during transportation through a perforated screen plate. Depending on production requirements, single-shaft and double-shaft designs can be provided.

The modular screw Impressafiner features a forged screw shaft designed for higher strength, improved wear resistance and longer service life. Its flexible compression ratio allows the equipment to adapt to different operating conditions.

For high-consistency refining systems, the side plug feeder and plug feeder are designed to lock pressure and prevent steam leakage, helping maintain the required temperature and pressure. Single- and double-screw configurations can be selected according to production capacity.

HUATAO also provides ribbon feeders to ensure stable and continuous feeding into high-consistency refiners. For pulp processing, chemical mixing conveyors use chemical addition through both the housing and screw shaft to improve mixing efficiency. A special pulp-breaking structure further enhances material mixing, while detachable shaft journals simplify maintenance and assembly.

Screw presses use variable shaft diameter and flight pitch to increase compression and remove liquid from pulp before the next washing stage. They can be applied in APMP, semi-APMP and waste paper pulp lines.
